Rioja Wine and Villages
Stay in the heart of Rioja, Logroño, (population 325,000) known for its tapas street Calle Laurel. Logrono is one of our favorite tapas cities in Spain and the densely packed bars offer a mind-boggling array of great Rioja to experience. We will explore nearby villages known for their winemaking like Haro, Elciego, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Laguardia and Brionas. We’ll sample different tapas, traditional cuisine, and dine at Michelin restaurants while developing a deep understanding of Riojano culture. You can fly into Bilbao and take a bus to Logrono or take a train from Madrid to arrive. Before or after the trip. Pamplona and Burgos are reasonable distances to visit and Bilbao and the Basque country are 90-120 minutes away by car. Bilbao airport has connections to just about all of Europe (we will be flying from Bilbao directly to Paris in a couple of months).

What our Rioja Wine and Villages Adventure will include:
- Hotel for 6 nights in Logroño
- 12 wineries, including Ysios and Marques de Riscal
- Visit Haro, Laguardia, and San Vicente de la Sonsierra
- Two dinners: one at a restaurant, and one night of tapas on Calle Laurel
- 6 lunches
- Transportation to/from Bilbao

Cost of the Tour
- This is a small group tour of 6-7 people max.
- The cost of this week-long tour is USD $4000 / EUR $3450 per person based on double occupancy.
- Single supplement is an additional USD $500 / EUR $433.
- A deposit of $1000 USD/EUR per person is due to secure your spot on the tour.
The remaining balance can be paid in monthly payments. Final payment due January 6, 2027.
